The Studio

  • 4,000 sq ft studio space

My studio is a converted pub. The Vulcan Hotel was built at the turn of the last century and gained notoriety in the Sixties as a live music venue. It was later turned into an Italian restaurant but closed in the late Nineties. Almost Ten years ago, with the help of a local Architect I turned it into the perfect studio space. With over 4,000 square feet available; the dining area is now the main shooting space, the skittle alley is now the underground carpark, the pub cellars provide prop stores, the “snug” now houses the large format printers and the Bar is now a really nice kitchen.

The conversion was tailored to photographing high value, precise and clean products such as jewellery and medical equipment as well as fashion shoots etc. However, the state of the art specification lends itself to all types of creative photography. Along with parking, client storage, WiFi and a fully equipped kitchen I also have plenty of freezers and fridges for storing my favourite subject – Food.
